Given that Black Panther is the 18th movie released in the MCU, with a decent portion of the movies doing very well both critically and in box office.... And that Black Panther the movie is being heralded as one of the best ones out of 18 movies in it's franchise... Why is it any surprise it's going to generate excitement?

Fan reactions have a tendency to go over the top. Happens with Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc. etc.

I don't know, but that doesn't mean capitalism is something to boast about. When life is literally all about working and paying bills for a majority of people, how is that even living? And then if you highlight the flaws in that, people think you're naive and stop taking you seriously.

Turning 35 this year. Steady job and source of income, got married, bought a house. Don't have kids so responsibilities are still rather light compared to others. I've been more socially active in my 30s than I probably been in my 20s.

I do feel for those that probably have too much social anxiety to put themselves out there and develop relationships and social connections.

I don't quite feel so much for those that only pine for a time they could be irresponsible enough to just sit at home in their underwear playing vidya games and wanking it all summer.
